Counselling – is it for you?

You may be considering counselling because you feel distressed, isolated, helpless or burdened.

We all experience difficulties in our lives, and some can be hard to recover from such as bereavement, separation or divorce.

You may be experiencing difficulty with a relationship either at home or at work.

Redundancy, children leaving home, parents becoming ill can all be hard to negotiate.

You may be just be feeling anxious, down or depressed for no apparent reason.

There may be deeper and longer-term difficulties in your life, such as dealing with abuse or trauma.

Counselling can provide a safe place to explore your thoughts and feelings.

I am trained to listen with attention and understanding. We will be able to consider and underdand your difficulties together. I work in a non-judgemental way and with compassion.

It is important that when you feel in need of counselling help to find someone who you can trust and is professionally trained.
